Pittsburgh Exposition Medals

 

The Western Pennsylvania Numismatic Society was founded on June 14, 1878 in Pittsburgh, PA. To publicize the club and promote the hobby an exhibit was mounted at the Great Pittsburgh Exposition of 1878 and 1879; souvenir medals were issued for the event.
