Miscellaneous Political Medalets

1848 Zachary Taylor Medalet

1852 Winfield Scott Medalets

DeWitt WS 1852-6, white metal, 30.9mm

This is not listed as the work of George H. but I think the fact that the obverse is muled with at least 5 other dies associated with him, or his brother John D., indicates this was his work. It would seem this is the original pairing for the 1852 campaign.

The reverse on this piece is possibly the work of his father, Robert Lovett Sr.. See the listing under his Political Medalets.

Is this the work of George H. Lovett for Issac F. Wood? The style is very similar to the 1876 Tilden medalets that he produced for Wood.  Anyone with more information on these please contact me.
