MERCHANT TOKENS OF ROBBINS, ROYCE & HARD

George H. Lovett produced 3 original dies for this merchant: the 'Represented by Wm. Leggett Bramhall' die with Washington bust, and two dies describing this merchants business - one with the location being 70 Reade St. and the second with 112 Duane St. added. These were combined with each other as well as several dies from Lincoln political pieces to produce a rather large variety of tokens.

This is one of the few tokens which have the numbers struck listed for all the varieties and most issues are very small. This would seem to indicate they were struck more for the collector trade than actual circulation.
